++++ For changing the behavior/add the preference, but ---- for always creating a new transaction. I'd rather have Enter commit the current transaction and move to the next one. Only if the transaction being edited was the last one, it will create a new one. I often import transactions from my bank and then edit them (eg to create splits). So when I press Enter, I declare that I am done with that transaction and am moving on to the next one. It would be very weird that I would suddenly jump to the end of the screen. I.e. we are never creating new empty transactions in the middle of the ledger.
