discretionary subtotals which I might not want to include in the hierarchy.
Does this fit into the (potential) new report structure of html with embedded
scheme?
Err, possibly. At least I can see no reason why it wouldn't: obviously
it would require a new set of functions relating to the rows and columns
that you describe, and these could then be used within the eguile
template-parsing system.
