Zitat von Geert Janssens <[email protected]>:
I also figured out how to build gnucash in a different directory; I've
added some details about this to the wiki page:
http://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Building

Interesting. I have been building/installing in separate directories as well,
but used Eclipse to set this up for me. I never knew how to do it manually.

If you say to run autogen.sh/configure from within the build directory, I
presume you will need to use the full path to autogen.sh in the srcdir. That
is not very clear in your description, so perhaps you may want to add that.

Thanks for adding this description to the wiki page. I've added more explanations; specifically, you don't have to set up the "srcdir" variable but instead you need to call configure by its relative path - this is the main trick here.

Regards,

Christian
