I'll answer the rest:

Zitat von Dancefire <[email protected]>:
1)
#: ../src/gnome/dialog-tax-info.c:281
msgid "Form Line Data: "

What's meaning of that?

The source code location suggests this is related to the mapping of gnucash accounts to the tax-related paperwork. I think this string means "The line in your tax forms [i.e. the paper form with the official number e.g. foo-123] to which this account belongs to."

2)
#: ../src/gnome/glade/acctperiod.glade.h:13
msgid "xxx"

Should I just put "xxx" in translation?

Yes. I'll remove the strings from translation soon.

3)
#: ../src/gnome/glade/sched-xact.glade.h:91
msgid ""
"Fixed Rate\n"
"3/1 Year ARM\n"
"5/1 Year ARM\n"
"7/1 Year ARM\n"
"10/1 Year ARM"

What is "3/1 Year ARM"?

Mark already explained this correctly; ARM = Adjustable-Rate Mortgage. It's a U.S. specific sort of mortgage (debt) contract where the interest rate may changes over time in unpredictable ways. <off-topic>If you ask me (and many others here), allowing the banks to sell this sort of debt contract is a clear road into financial disaster for the customer, but we are only translators here, not politicians.</off-topic>

msgid "T"
msgstr ""

What is "T"?

The "business-reports/invoice.scm" report contains quite a number of those ambiguous strings which should be cleanup up, but currently we have to live with them. In this case I think it's the column heading for "Tax rate of this invoice line" and because it's a column heading the responsible author thought "T" would be helpful as an abbreviation. You should handle the string as if it said "Tax Rate".

msgid "%s #%d"

Should I keep it as is?

From looking at the invoice.scm source code: The %s will be replaced by the invoice report title, e.g. "Invoive", and the %d will be replaced by the invoice id number. The single "#" hash character is the English abbreviation for "number". In German, my translation of the string is "%s Nr. %d" where "Nr." is the German abbreviation for "number".

#: ../intl-scm/guile-strings.c:4508
msgid "sign"

Is "sign" a verb? or "Signature"(noun)? or the "minus" sign in front
of a negative value?

It's used as a noun here - the string should have been written with a capital letter instead. It's one of the two drop-down choices in the option "Negative amount format" in the "Balance Sheet (eguile)" report. The string could have been written as "Prefix with Sign" instead. The tooltip for this drop-down choice is "Prefix negative amounts with a minus sign, e.g. -$10".

#: ../intl-scm/guile-strings.c:5616
#: ../intl-scm/guile-strings.c:7120
msgid "Invert prices"

What is "Invert prices"?

It's the name of one of the options in the "Price Scatterplot" report. It's a checkbox option whose tooltip is "Plot commodity per currency rather than currency per commodity", hence instead of the price p the price 1/p is printed. The string could have been written as "Invert the meaning of all the numbers in the report" or something like that.

msgid "Not tax-related; no description: form %s, code %s, tax type %s"

What is "form"? a verb: creation? or a noun: fill in a "form" and
submit it? or short for "formula"?

Same as your question 1: It's a noun referring to the tax form number and location on that tax form which corresponds to the chosen gnucash account.

11)
#: ../src/gnome/glade/budget.glade.h:15
msgid "Number of calendar units in the recurrence: E.g. Biweekly =
every 2 weeks; Quarterly = every 3 months"

Should we translate "Biweekly", "Quarterly"? or they are some kind of
values which should not be translated?

As Mark already wrote: This string is the tooltip for the drop-down list of possible time interval choices, which you have translated elsewhere already (../src/gnome/glade/budget.glade.h:23)

12)
#: ../src/gnome/glade/price.glade.h:10
msgid "Delete all stock prices based upon the critera below:"

I think "critera" is a typo, and should be "criteria".
Does "criteria" mean "conditon"? or "standard"?

Yes, a typo. Yes, it means "conditions" - the plural; the singular would be "criterion", but there are several, so it's several "criteria". (How would "criteria" be the same as "standard"? Just curious how you would think of this semantic ambiguity.)

13)
#: ../src/gnome/gnc-plugin-page-register.c:263
msgid "_Shift Transaction Forward"

Does this mean modify transaction's date and move to the date after
current date of the transaction? or Move transaction up/down?

Actually, both: The user-visible effect is to move the transaction up or down. The technical implementation to achieve this is by modifying the transaction date by a few seconds. This is probably not a very good solution. The string should probably be changed into "Move transaction down[wards]".

14)
#: ../src/gnome-utils/glade/dialog-object-references.glade.h:2
msgid "Object references"

What is the meaning here?

The string was introduced only a few days ago. It should be changed because no user will understand the meaning of "references" or "obejects" here. The string should be changed into something like "Used Objects" and it is the column heading for a list of, errr, gnucash objects like account or transaction which need the account that should currently be deleted... err, unfortunately I also don't have a good idea for a better wording here.

15)
#: ../src/gnome-utils/gnc-tree-view-account.c:540
msgid "Last Num"

What is the meaning? And for "last", is "last" time or the number at the "end"?

"Last number" and it means the latest entry in the "Number" column that was entered in that account.

msgid "Show listings"

Does "listing" in those strings mean list in "shopping list" ? or the
financial term of "appear on the market"? or a verb?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Listing_%28finance%29 : In corporate finance, a listing refers to the company's shares being on the list (or board) of stocks that are officially traded on a stock exchange.

Christian
