Derek et al, A "chargeback" as you mentioned, would work if we had line item feature. Inventory module is excessive, as basically I just open the box/bag and look to see how many jacks I have left. The whole intent here is to provide an invoice, an expense report, as "exempt", otherwise, it's common for small businesses to report petty items as my income.
It's just not practical to tailor receipts/bills for each customer, as a separate purchase, as they would need to be done after the job is finished, when I know how many jacks are used. Thank you very much for responding GK -----Original Message----- From: Derek Atkins [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, May 17, 2010 8:11 AM To: Guy Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: plans for adding merchandise to gnu cash invoices? When you enter a vendor bill you can mark items specifically as "Billable" back to a customer. Then you can charge the customer based on the item. Note that this is not an inventory system; it's a 1:1 passthrough for items you buy on behalf of a customer. > Will donate via Paypal if feature may be added > > Thx > > Guy Krenik > > San Diego, CA > > PS I like portable app because I can make invoice onsite on customer's > computer. -derek -- Derek Atkins, SB '93 MIT EE, SM '95 MIT Media Laboratory Member, MIT Student Information Processing Board (SIPB) URL: http://web.mit.edu/warlord/ PP-ASEL-IA N1NWH [email protected] PGP key available _______________________________________________ gnucash-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-devel
