You can also lookup and file bug reports at http://bugzilla.gnome.org The last stable version was GnuCash 2.4.0 While I *did* have 2.3.17 installed for a while, I recently removed it entirely (along with a copy of 2.2.9). So this note is being generated by 2.4.0, when it shouldn't.
