Correct. It hangs when I try to open the same db it saved. Any subsequent re-starts of GnuCash do the same for that database. - Art

Do you mean that if you do Save As and select the mysql option that it creates the db ok, but then if you close and re-open gnucash that it does not re-open the mysql db?
