Does all trace output go to the terminal or only some of it? What parameters are you giving on the command line when you run GnuCash? Have you tried changing the parameters you give to see what effect that might have?

I have been working on that code as well, so there's a good chance it was something I changed. I'll look into it in the next couple of days. I am interested in the additional information Mike asked about as well though.
