The warning is that there are more than one interpretation of 'trunk' as a branch name. Don't worry about it, it always picks the right one. --all fetches all remotes. Not all branches, all remotes. Since most of the time there's only one remote, it's a no-op except that it makes a little extra noise. You don't need it for Gnucash. You might want to use it on that project where you have a different vendor source (and therefore a different remote) for each branch.
