Hi,
As many of you know, the GnuCash server was being bombarded by AI/Bots to
the point where none of the services were working. We tried several
options, but eventually just shut down bugzilla and mediawiki.
Since then, we have made the following changres:
1) Bugzilla now requires a login for any operation, including viewing and
searching. This will negatively affect google searching, but we feel this
is better than the alternatives.
2) MediaWiki no longer allows anonymous users to Search or view history or
page differences. They can still follow links to current pages.
Authenticated users (logged in) will be able to perform these operations.
We feel these changes will minimally affect real users and should keep the
server load under control.
We will continue to monitor the situation.
