I updated the readme for the release, but didn't do the 'Whats new'. I can attempt to clean up/edit the press release you did, but probably wont get to it till tomorrow night. I'm not even sure what to do with a press release. I just did a normal release process tonight for 1.8.0, perhaps we can spend some time slowly updating the other things? (I'm kinda burned out from the bi-weekly releases the last few months). Chris PS.
