I saw the messages you sent to gnucash-devel back in December. I'd like a conduit that worked as you described as well. Did you get anywhere with it? I'm considering tackling the problem myself. If you did get any code developed, or even a roadmap, it would be nice to have as a starting point. Even better if you're still working on it. I could jump in to help.
