Let me be more explicit..

>From a client xterm:

        client% xhost +server
        client% telnet server
        ...
        server% setenv DISPLAY client:0
        server% gnucash &

Yes, every invocation of gnucash (or any other X-based app) from the
server% shell will display on Client.  However, if you are logged into
server from another shell, or locally, it wont affect that.
