Hi, It looks like the gnucash.org DNS servers are having problems. In particular, gnucash.org has two registered name servers, ns.linas.org and ns.gnumatic.com. Unfortunately it appears that ns.gnumatic.com does not exist anymore (and is off the net). This means that the existence of the gnucash.org domain is totally dependent upon ns.linas.org.
Now, granted, if ns.linas.org is off the net, so is the gnucash.org website, cvs repository, and everything else. So, maybe it doesn't really matter? However, it means that users will get a dns error and mail bounce right away if they try to send mail, whereas if DNS exists but the host is down the mail system will at least queue up the mail. I'm willing to provide secondary DNS service if that would help solve this problem.. -derek -- Derek Atkins, SB '93 MIT EE, SM '95 MIT Media Laboratory Member, MIT Student Information Processing Board (SIPB) URL: http://web.mit.edu/warlord/ PP-ASEL-IA N1NWH [EMAIL PROTECTED] PGP key available _______________________________________________ gnucash-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.gnumatic.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-devel
