Dave,
Since you made your component-manager change (at least that's
when I first noticed this behavior, but it may have happened
sooner), the main-page never updates. Here is how to show
this behavior:
1) Start Gnucash
2) Click 'New Account'
3) type in anything valid, hit "ok"
4) notice how your new account is not displayed in the list.
It didn't do this before....
