I deleted all the offending transactions and restarted Gnucash. After that it started working again. So it probably is a very subtle bug but how it gets tripped I have no clue. The OS is Win 7. I've seen this happen once before in version 2.4 but it cleared up without a restart in that case. This was the first time I saw it since upgrading from 2.4 to 2.6.
I choose not to upgrade at this point because none of the bugs that have been fixed (based on what is currently published in the change logs) affects me. However, if this sudden blank running balance happens to be a side effect of a fixed bug then I would be inclined to upgrade. Given that it happens so rarely, though, I'd still rather hold off. Wishful thinking, perhaps. _______________________________________________ gnucash-user mailing list gnucash-user@gnucash.org https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user ----- Please remember to CC this list on all your replies.
