It doesn’t work on this particular register, hence the bug report. If I’m not mistaken, one of the bug comments even mentions this was an oversight when the dialog was updated some time ago.
Note, the bug isn’t that the date window is too small by default. The bug is that you can’t save your preference for it being a different time frame like you can on any other register.
