While balancing our checking account we ran into odd behavior on the transaction report.
The running balance column goes backwards when there are multiple transactions on the same day. For example: 05/17/2018 1213 xxxxx Green House $40.00 <gnc-register:trans-guid=6734c08cadc7b283f6d017249cef1f59#> $2,863.80 <gnc-register:trans-guid=6734c08cadc7b283f6d017249cef1f59#> 05/18/2018 1195 xxxx Green House $2,250.00 <gnc-register:trans-guid=9ca2dd73a33bd8732c5aca13aaae1fa6#> $1,564.45 <gnc-register:trans-guid=9ca2dd73a33bd8732c5aca13aaae1fa6#> 05/18/2018 Ixxxx IHSA $126.58 <gnc-register:trans-guid=99e89375cb395cf6008fc3beea504257#> $3,814.45 <gnc-register:trans-guid=99e89375cb395cf6008fc3beea504257#> 05/18/2018 xxx Church $822.77 <gnc-register:trans-guid=724233f33cd8113781d90f804e6de03a#> $3,941.03 <gnc-register:trans-guid=724233f33cd8113781d90f804e6de03a#> 05/18/2018 xxx Cash. $200.00 <gnc-register:trans-guid=8064104e4955e72212a53f35071a508f#> $4,763.80 <gnc-register:trans-guid=8064104e4955e72212a53f35071a508f#> 05/18/2018 Transfer Money Market $2,100.00 <gnc-register:trans-guid=b4688a9ed77cc8de4850978704754f9f#> $4,963.80 <gnc-register:trans-guid=b4688a9ed77cc8de4850978704754f9f#> Notice how the running balance jumps from line 1 to line 6 then works itself upwards back to line 2. Then it jumps to line 7 (not shown). Made for an interesting hour until the accountant figured out what was going on. -- Stephen M Butler, PMP, PSM stephen.m.butle...@gmail.com kg...@arrl.net 253-350-0166 ------------------------------------------- GnuPG Fingerprint: 8A25 9726 D439 758D D846 E5D4 282A 5477 0385 81D8 _______________________________________________ gnucash-user mailing list gnucash-user@gnucash.org To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user If you are using Nabble or Gmane, please see https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Mailing_Lists for more information. ----- Please remember to CC this list on all your replies.
