I suspect you are hit by this bug: https://bugs.gnucash.org/show_bug.cgi?id=796256 which is fixed for gnucash 3.2 So if you can, please upgrade to that version. If that's not an option, you can alter the .gcm file related to your book. Look for values of -32000 and change them to for example 50. And then remember to not quit gnucash while the main window is minimized.
