I followed the directions for debian somehwat.
I made a separate build directory, copied some of the files from
gnucash-3.2/build to it,
then did:
cd gnucash3.2-build
cmake -D CMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/local/gnucash ../gnucash-3.2
make
and get this result:
