FWIW:
"README.dependencies" for gnucash states:
webkit webkitgtk-3.0 (Windows, Mac)
webkit2gtk-3.0 (Everything Else)
For Ubuntu Xenial, this is clearly wrong.
webkit2gtk-4.0 is what is needed.
