Running GnuCash Version: 3.7 Build ID: 3.7+(2019-09-07) on Windows 10 Pro
Version 10.0.18362 Build 18362

I've noticed various correspondence about people having problems with Ver.
3.7, and references to looking at the tracefile. I updated to Ver. 3.7 on
15-Oct-2019 just after 14:00, so out of interest thought I'd look to see if
I'd any tracefiles.

There were only 2 tracefiles from before I updated. 1 from the day before I
updated that contains :-

                * 08:06:26 WARN <gnc.app-utils> Could not spawn perl:
Failed to execute child process (Bad file descriptor)

And I from the morning immediately (just a few minutes) before I updated
that contains :-

                * 06:46:19 WARN <gnc.app-utils> Could not spawn perl:
Failed to execute child process (Bad file descriptor)

* 13:56:45 WARN <gnc.core-utils> Could not locate file AUTHORS

* 13:56:45 WARN <gnc.core-utils> Could not locate file DOCUMENTERS

* 13:56:45 WARN <gnc.core-utils> Could not locate file LICENSE

It's possible that I started to upgrade GnuCash to Ver. 3.7 while an
instance of Ver. 3.6 was still running, so I wonder if the latter 3 messages
are related to that?

After I updated I get a tracefile every time containing a mixture of
messages as follows :-

. These appears EVERY time I start GnuCash

* 14:08:24 WARN <gnc.app-utils> Could not spawn perl: Failed to execute
child process (Bad file descriptor)

* 14:08:24 ERROR <gnc.app-utils> gnc_process_get_fd: assertion 'proc' failed

* 14:08:24 ERROR <gnc.app-utils> gnc_detach_process: assertion 'proc &&
proc->pid' failed

. The tracefile for today also contains the following :-

* 08:25:03 WARN <gnc.core-utils> Could not locate file AUTHORS

* 08:25:03 WARN <gnc.core-utils> Could not locate file DOCUMENTERS

* 08:25:03 WARN <gnc.core-utils> Could not locate file LICENSE

* 08:28:31 WARN <gnc.core-utils> Could not locate file AUTHORS

* 08:28:31 WARN <gnc.core-utils> Could not locate file DOCUMENTERS

* 08:28:31 WARN <gnc.core-utils> Could not locate file LICENSE

and I know I've not tried to update anything today.

Thought I'd feed this into the general domain to see if anyone knows the
cause, though I'm not noticing any problems using GnuCash.
