I don't use any of the business features/invoices either but this is the default behaviour in normal account register windows on Win 10 as well. I get around it by manually widening all date columns to allow for the drop down arrow when the date is highlighted. If I double click the header to autosize it the days are dropped off and instead of seeing 15/12/2019 (dd/mm/ccyy) and the drop down arrow I get /12/2019. I thought there'd been a bug/enhancement report raised a couple of years back to fix this behaviour but I could be wrong.
