By default it looks like a simple Income / Expense report but in two columns. Go into the Options and pick one of the Period Durations: Year / Half-year / Quarter / Month / Fortnight / Week. This will give you the total for all (or selected) Expenses for each of the Periods in the Date Range you specify. Hope this helps.
