Hi, GnuCash will always make backups. The "Retain log/backup" label is a little bit of a misnomer -- it's asking how how often to clean up the logs/backups -- so by saying "never" you are saying you never want to clean up.
If you truly never want to keep backups, your best bet is to set it for like 1 day. -derek On Sun, May 2, 2021 4:18 am, Chris Green wrote: > I have "Retain log/backup files" set to "Never" in my Gnucash > preferences but I'm still getting a log file created every time I run > Gnucash. > > I'm running GnuCash 3.10, Build ID: 3.10+(2020-04-11) on Xubuntu Linux. > I'm using sqlite rather than XML, might this be having an effect? > > Is this a known bug/issue or am I doing something wrong? > > -- > Chris Green > _______________________________________________ > gnucash-user mailing list > [email protected] > To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: > https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user > If you are using Nabble or Gmane, please see > https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Mailing_Lists for more information. > ----- > Please remember to CC this list on all your replies. > You can do this by using Reply-To-List or Reply-All. > -- Derek Atkins 617-623-3745 [email protected] www.ihtfp.com Computer and Internet Security Consultant _______________________________________________ gnucash-user mailing list [email protected] To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user If you are using Nabble or Gmane, please see https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Mailing_Lists for more information. ----- Please remember to CC this list on all your replies.
