Roger, The Locations for saved reports changed between V2 and V3 of GnuCash. Details are given in the Wiki page https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Configuration_Locations#:~:text=The%20default%20locations%20are%3A,gnucash. I think they relate to Windows 8/10 but not sure about Win 7. There are links there to open diagrams which illustrate the changed locations a bit more clearly than the text on that page.
