Jeff, If both accounts A and C are bank accounts and you are satisfied with the same transaction appearing in both accounts, perhaps with differing split memos, just select one of the two to edit to that result.
When you delete the other transaction and the edited transaction appears in that account, you can re-reconcile that account by changing the reconcile date to repeat the last reconciliation and pick up the newly created entry. I am not sure if that will unreconcile the retained but edited transaction but if it does, you can also re-reconcile that account. If you want different numbers or descriptions on the two transactions you will have to edit both of them to transfer to a different (suspense) account to keep them both as separate transactions. I personally use both methods depending on the details that I want to show on the transactions.
