Hi,
I can only mention my own use of hidden accts: I have used Gnucash since 2003
abt, & my old accts get moved to a holder place
(in my case ´zzzz´ for reasons that might be obvious!) These accts still exist,
but are hidden in reports. Good to keep them
for historical accounting purposes. (such as in Australia, calculating Capital
gains tax)

regards, Doug
