Hi Alan,

I am using version 2.4.15 (because of layout of printing) on OS
Windows 7 professional. I tried to install a recent version, but the

Thanks a lot!

Unfortunately, you aren't explaining WHICH "problem" you are asking about (the quotes because one is not a problem)

Are you asking "why does my gnucash crash when closing the cash ledger?" That may be a problem. When does this happen? All the time? Or just when you try to close the account while in the middle of entering a transaction, etc.?

Or are you asking "if gnucash crashes OR the entire system crashes while gnucash is open the lock file is left behind. I have to override using "open anyway" or manually delete the file. What is wrong?" NOTHING -- that is the expected behavior of any software that is using this method of preventing simultaneous access by more than one user.
