To quote from Wikipedia

"An *Economic Operators Registration and Identification number* (*EORI
number)* is a European Union <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Union>
registration and identification number for businesses which undertake the
import or export of goods into or out of the EU."

Note this is neither a tax number, nor company registration number. In
fact, even individuals can need one, not just companies. It would seem
worthwhile allowing this information to be entered. I always shows it on my
company quotes, invoices etc.

Dave (from the UK, which was formally in the EU)
