James, one way of dealing with this is to make changes to your user
menu on Linux.
Not that I remember how to do it, because it has been working for many
years on my desktop, survives upgrades and so on.

My menu, under "Office" has
Gnucash
Gnucash Business
Gnucash Home
Gnucash Super 
Gnucash Trust

You didn't say which desktop environment you are using, so more
specific advice would need that data.
