For custom reports, https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Custom_Reports is a good starting point. For pgsql if you're a Linux user you may need to install libdbd-pgsql; note that that's what Debian calls it, other distros may have slightly different names. The SQLite3 file is created wherever you told GnuCash to create it in the File>New or File>Save As dialogs.
