Thanks Derek,

As you could see in the channel, that helped.

I notice I had changed the Network Name but not the server.

I now have them both as 'irc.gimp.org' and I'm now in the right channel.

For anyone else seeing this, I got a bit confused with the various aliases and the page on the Wiki.

The *server* name needs to be: irc.gimp.org

(in my particular client, that field is a drop down, which I didn't at first realize I could type in my own choice.)

Regards,
Adrien

p.s. - the strange thing is that when both the Network & Server name were set to irc.gnome.org, I was still in the right channel.(?!)

irc.libera.chat and irc.gimp.org are different networks. As you can see,
there is no overlap in Server IP Addresses.

Yes, I have gone to irc.libera.chat and registered #gnucash with them,
pointing them back to irc.gimp.org. But all the traffic is still on
irc.gimp.org.
