Entries in the journal were in order of entry so THIS book represented the history of transactions. Now gnucash is a "virtual journal" system. The only time we even see what a journal entry looks like is when entering a "split" transaction (we are then in "journal view" mode) and we can ask gnucash to show all transactions that way. But that's only one transaction, not a history of them. BUT -- gnucash does provide a report that will show the journal in non-virtual form. It's been so many years since I began with gnucash (and so explored what was available) I can;t remember the name of that report. Can anybody help with the report name?
