That appears to be different behavior from what I'm seeing. I've
opened https://bugs.gnucash.org/show_bug.cgi?id=799180 for the variable
value issue.
https://bugs.gnucash.org/show_bug.cgi?id=799179 is close, however I'm
not getting a crash.
