1. The custom report runs on GnuCash but it is not part of GnuCash. If you have any problems then raise an issue in the repo - https://github.com/dawansv/gnucash-custom-reports/issues 2. The GnuCash Guide https://gnucash.org/viewdoc.phtml?rev=5&lang=C&doc=guide section I and II contains a tutorial. Creating the file and entering the data into your computer will give you experience running a transaction report. 3. You don't need to know anything about the schema solution, just use it like a transaction report.
