A few days ago I upgraded from Linux Mint 20.3 Una (based on Ubuntu focal) to 21 Vanessa (based on Ubuntu jammy). So I had to rebuild my Gnucash, and used the 5.8 release code. The guile-3.0-dev lib was missing from my system at first, but once I got that, the build seemed to have no problems at all. All my accounts work fine. But then today I noticed that reports do not render at all in the Gnucash window. Completely blank. The information is there because I can print or export the reports and see everything in pdf or html exactly as I expect, but nothing I have tried so far has made any difference to the rendering in the gui.
Thought maybe it was a problem with my saved reports or custom stylesheets, so I tried just printing a default 'Balance Sheet' from "Reports -> Assets & Liabilities", but it is blank too. In case this was a problem that has been fixed by now, I built a new gnucash from the 'stable' release of a couple hours ago, with just the default settings, but exact same problem. Nothing from the build of either of the 5.8 executables seems to indicate any serious problem... I can see the discussion in the documentation about issues with report rendering, but can there be a missing lib in the build now, but that doesn't generate any warning or error message even though it is necessary to render reports? So, is this a known issue? Any solution? Any ideas? thanks, *Mark* *[email protected] <[email protected]>* _______________________________________________ gnucash-user mailing list [email protected] To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user ----- Please remember to CC this list on all your replies.
