The connection to the original matter perhaps unclear to the non-technical.
There was a question raised about the correct VERSION information being
displayed (by the new version being announced) which led to how/why that
happened and how to fix. That's what appeared to lead off into the woods
for the non-techies. As a (retired senior techie) I assure you, what has
followed has all been directly related to that. How to deal with the
fact that"10" isn't the number 10 (it is two CHARACTERS which mean/name
the number 10)
Apparently there is some need to be able to fix via Powershell (in the
Windows environment) and a lack of anybody fluent in that scripting
language.
But yes, maybe enough on THIS list and move the discussion to the
developers list. Especially if the call is to draft somebody like me to
learn Powershell.
