That is helpful.
What do you observe? What specific actions do you take to try to open
your files? What do you observe happening? What do you expect to happen?
Do you know where on your Macintosh storage those files are? Could you,
for example, find them so that you can list the in a Finder window? Can
you do a Get Info on those files, to see their size and modification date?
Answers to these questions might be illuminating.
