I tested this and it does the same on my system. I'm using Gnucash 5.10 (2024-12-14) on Windows 11 Pro. However, if you shutdown Gnucash and reopen it has the new page name. In Both cases the account name in the COA has not changed>

I opened a journal for the liability of choice, and then selected Action>Rename Page. 2. The tab became an input field, and I entered the name of the page. 3. On pressing <ENTER>, the text I had entered was displayed. 4. I then closed the page. There was not an asterix next to the file name at the top of the screen ( or even an Obelix!) 5. When I reopened the page, the tab dis not should the text I entered.
