Hi Fred/John/GNUCash users, A few basics:
Are you using the Flatpak or system package version of GNUCash? https://flathub.org/apps/org.gnucash.GnuCash Also, it looks like the current version of Fedora is 42 - https://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=fedora --- Thanks, Brad - https://www.facebook.com/brad.morrison.12327/ & https://nextdoor.com/profile/01mP46jj8KCzj3sP4 & https://norcal.social/@BradMorrison On 2025-04-19 15:12, Fred Tydeman wrote: > On Sat, Apr 19, 2025 at 1:03 PM John Ralls <[email protected]> wrote: > > On Apr 19, 2025, at 09:10, Fred Tydeman <[email protected]> wrote: > Do I remember correctly that you use trading accounts? Correct, I do use trading accounts. > I'm not able to replicate this with a simple two-split transaction in > basic view. Are there more than the two splits in the transaction? Just two splits: Income and Assets. In Basic Ledger view, if I change the money amount and press Enter, the system hangs. I can click on Cancel at the top and that resets the money amount back. If I do Show Splits and change one of the two values shown, I then get a popup about currency conversion. I accept the default. I then change the other value, and again get a popup about currency conversion. I then do Enter and the changed transaction is saved. Clicking on Save (of the file) does not get a popup about an open transaction. So, the problem is related to Basic ledger view. _______________________________________________ gnucash-user mailing list [email protected] To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user ----- Please remember to CC this list on all your replies.
