Or are all expense items scattered under the main Expense account and need to be grouped and better organized? In most cases you can edit the leaf accounts and change their parent. If the new parent doesn't exist, then you first need to create it before adding the other accounts under it. So, the best way is group like expenses together and give them the same parent account name. You can go as many levels as you want. But don't forget you will have to maintain them and find them easily. Perhaps build an outline on paper first. Do the same for Income, Assets, and Liabilities.
