The last time was successful without problems, IIRC. That said, I would highly recommend first exporting accounts and transactions separately to csv, in case something goes awry with the native gnucash files, and then copying all that as well as the entire gnucash directory to a usb stick or cd/dvd. Ensure the files are usable in Mint before deleting from the windows machine. Best to leave nothing to chance.
