If I remember correctly, the feature to print addresses on checks is tied to 
the business 
invoice/bill payment feature. It was never implemented for non-business use of 
check 
printing.

So currently the only way gnucash has to print addresses on checks is to the 
payment 
window of the business features. In that window you will find a check box to 
tick to print a 
check. When printing a check that way, the address of the selected payee will 
appear on 
the check.
