Change the scheduled transaction to fire "a few days ahead". Trigger scheduled transactions to run "since last run" or exit and restart Gnucash. Check the transaction has fired and change the schedule entry to the future required date. 2. Disconnect computer from the internet, alter the date on the computer. Start Gnucash, ensure transaction is entered, then put the computer back to correct date and reconnect to internet as desired. Both are fudges but could deal with your problem.
