I have used Dropbox for making GnuCash available on my desktop and
laptop for many years with no problems other than having to be careful
about opening it simultaneously on both computers. The lock file does
help with this. The only limitation is 3 devices with the free Dropbox
account. This is useful if away from home and travelling whereas
syncing the machines has to be done before travelling.
