Make sure on the offending machine that Preferences > Register Defaults
> "Number of transactions" is set to "0". This turns off the visible
transaction limit. Any other number will result in only showing that
many transactions.

Within any register, scrolling is limited to those transactions that pop
onto the screen when the account is opened.
Mouse, arrows or pgup pgdn doesn' matter. The scrollbar occupies the full
height of the screen.
Scroll is normal within the Accounts list, and any other area accessed from
the main menu. Other programs seem completely normal on my machine.
I have a 5-13 build on a "play machine (live USB)" that seems to work
normally with a copy of my data file.
I'm thinking of copying the common areas (.config, .local/share) from the
working USB to my daily GNC driver.
I'm at my technical limits - any other suggestions? I'd like to figure this
out without installing new operating system.
