John,

A fix for this 5.13 issue was merged on October 12th. I suggest pulling a more recent nightly build to confirm: https://code.gnucash.org/builds/win32/stable/

Sherlock

Hi All,

I just tried to do a reconcile of one of my accounts for the end of
September 2025. The first dialog that pops up is the "Enter interest"
dialog. Since I have usually already entered that I just click Cancel and go
to the main reconcile dialog to enter the balance from the statement. When I
click Cancel, Gnucash closes. If I open it again, I need to select Open
Anyway since the lock file has not been deleted.

I tried again but chose to enter some interest, which I would remove later,
and finished clicking the OK button. Same story, it just closes. Looks like
I get the crash no matter how I exit that interest dialog.

I know there is a mode I can run GnuCash to get more info about what
happened but cannot remember the details. I tried adding -debug to the
command line but did not get anything helpful in the log file.

This has not happened before for me.

I am an IT guy, so I dug a bit more and found this in the Windows
