Gyle,
And I'm sorry I haven't been able to explain this well...
If you do not want GnuCash to update matched transactions, uncheck the
"Enable update match action" preference on the Import tab.

Sorry I'm so dense. I still don't get how I can get the import matches to be "C" instead
of "U+C". I will just have to change them manually when I import and they are matches.
No need for a reply and thank you for trying to explain it to me. I do appreciate it!
Thank You,

Subject: Re: [GNC] Import
Let's try this one more time....
The parameter "most responsible" would be "Enable update match action".
With update match action enabled, the best matches are "U+C" when the
score is greater than or equal to the "auto-clear threshold" and the
amount and date are not exact matches or when the score is less than the
"auto-clear threshold" and greater than the "auto-add threshold" and
skip transaction is not enabled.

The later case assumes skip transaction action is not enabled.

Which parameter in the preferences/import would be most responsible
for all the matches showing up in "U+C" vs "C"? I have the import
working better but all my items show in the "U+C" column and I have
to change them to "C".
