Hello all, Firstly: MacPro 2010, High Sierra 10.13.6 GnuCash Version: 5.12 Build ID: 5.12+(2025-06-28) Finance::Quote: 1.56
The Problem: I opened up Gnucash today and entered two transactions - cash income in GBP and EUR for a job I did and was paid in both currencies for the one job. All good. On checking the bank accounts and the P&L report I find that random accounts are showing a red minus figure that alters the true total. On one expense account that was previously shown as black - as it ought to be - namely Bank Charges, I was given a refund that was duly input as a credit to the bank and a debit to the expense account. The amount was €7.10 in and out the same day. The account now shows a balance of minus €7.61(black) instead of the expected €8.64, which it was previously. Another expense account that was previously black now shows a red minus figure. If I look at a trial balance showing both Euro and Pounds, the Euro amount is shown a a minus red figure. On some expense accounts the € is in black, as it should be and the £ is a black minus figure, (only goes black on a coloured background it seems). I can't work it out, perhaps I changed something somewhere, but can't think what. Any suggestions most welcome. Thanks in advance G _______________________________________________ gnucash-user mailing list [email protected] To update your subscription preferences or to unsubscribe: https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-user ----- Please remember to CC this list on all your replies.
